On Sunday afternoon Elder Anderson asked the question, “What thinks Christ of me?” That is a question that I have been pondering heavenly ever since. It is so easy to feel inadequate as a missionary, and do wonder if I’m doing enough. I Know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have perfect love for me, and for all of us, but do I do enough to be called a friend by Christ. I pin his name tag on my shirt everyday, and every night when I take it off I wonder, Have I done enough to day? The beautiful thing about the Atonement is that, even though sometimes I’m overwhelmed by my weaknesses, and feel that the answer is “no,” the Lord has the power to fix any mistakes I’ve made. So, what thinks Christ of me? I hope that at the end of each day before I go to sleep, I’ll be able to say, “today, Christ would consider me his friend.
- i think we all need to ask this question more when we go to bed at night, whether or not we are missionaries or not. if we do that, i think we will become better people within a few months of applying it I’m so grateful to have such a good example of a friend on a mission right now.
