Well I Guess This Is Growing Up
I was not accusing you of hating anyone, Jeremy. Are you afraid to question things? Especially religion? It isn't a bad thing. Open your mind. Or are you comfortable with the fact that you feel like you know what you need to know already? Don't be. You have a hint of hope in you. Someone I would really like to see think for himself. Do so.

i’m not afraid to questions things, including religion. my religion even tells us to think for ourselves. it’s just what i see as boundaries the Lord has set, the world views are freedoms to do whatever you want. I believe the Lord said marriage is between man and woman. It’s different than interracial marriages, because those are ok, they still fall under  man, and woman.  While i feel that a man can love another man, like he likes a woman, he cannot  fully fulfill the commandment God also gave married couples to do, which is to multiply and replenish the earth with children.  This can only be done with man and woman. Simple biology states that.  You can argue about adoptions and things, but i still feel that no matter what you say, and try to work around what God has said, He will know what is going on.

If you don’t believe in God, thats ok, but realize that i have my own beliefs, which i hold sacred.  Calling my beliefs hateful and exclusionary in return shows the hate that i’m accused of having too. Ironic, isn’t it. Guess what, you might not believe it, but i too am a minority. I am one of 6 million LDS members in a 300 million country. That means aprox 2% of country is LDS. That’s a low statistic.  Mormons are hated by just as much people that hate other minorities too, but it seems its ok, or you don’t hear about it. Before you argue that we spread hate to homosexuals, remember they are not all the innocent people they say they are. Many smashed windows and tried to damage temples after prop 8. Sure, you can argue they were frustrated that mormons stopped its passage, but remember, it wasn’t just LDS that voted against it. The mormons were picked because they are an easy group to fight against, since they are a minority.  Plus, anyone who looks at US history will see countless murders and rapes occurring to LDS saints.

The point i want to bring up is that we as a country are evolving, and we have made lots of progress as a country and world. There are just boundaries that God has set to live our lives, much like the 10 commandments that we are asked to live. If we do so, we are blessed, and if not, we suffer, and a country can suffer.

to the Anon,

we’re not going to agree.  its apparent.  Sure, we have come a long way,  but my beliefs tell me that we have a God, and he has told us certain things that i choose to follow.  If you don’t like it, that’s ok,  its your choice. i choose to believe things the way that i do.   I don’t hate minorities, or women. I don’t hate gays. We may disagree if its a choice, or not, but you don’t see me bullying them, wishing they were, or wanting anyone to get hurt. you know why, because that is wrong.   One day, everything will be sorted out.

just because i am conservative doesn’t mean i spread hate.

Liberals view change as necessary to perfect the world,  but honestly  the world seemed pretty stable for the past several thousand years. The United States was running quite fine since its creation in the 1700s/  Now, society seems to be failing, apathy reigns, and it’s conservatives that are to blame.   They are the ones that don’t go to school, they just sit at home and hate, and spread more hate. Liberals are the intellectual ones, who get their degrees, and think.  They know how to save the country, when in reality it crumbles more and more. But its not their fault, it’s the conservatives, who often times think we should run things how it has in the past, which has kept this country running for so long.    This is how politics has gotten. Of course, this is a conservative viewpoint of liberals viewpoint of conservatives. But i want to make one thing clear :

we are headed towards communism or anarchy.

why?   there’s a war on capitalism. it’s evil now.  the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. while it is true there are greedy people out there, they often times work. they put the effort to make money.  What do the occupy people do?   they protest, instead of working. They would rather spend time smoking weed than sitting in class. (Not all i know, but many do)    they want the government to provide everything, housing, insurance, for nothing in return.  we can do that. the government could provide that.  Ever hear of 1950’s Russia?  you can get all you want, you just need to give up all your personal liberties.  do we want that?  or do we want the government to go away, because they don’t know what to do, or because they support  capitalism.  to want the government gone is  called anarchy. how long will society last with that i ask?  probably not long.

my points are exaggerated a bit, but seriously    we are in danger of moral collapse.   once upon a time, our country got along, but now its all political and the other side is uneducated, bigoted and ruining the country, when in reality, we all are by spreading this disease, and i am just as guilty as you.  sorry.

I was looking up LDS/BYU-I related things on here, and came across your blog. I really like it. It's pretty rad. (:

thanks,  and thanks for the follow!

America as a whole is a conservative nation. Any media, and I’m not saying CNN regularly challenges anything as it is pro-American by nature (capitalist media) but it does so more than Fox, which derides American exceptionalism will automatically lose viewers because it will be labeled anti-American, “anti-freedom” or some other hogwash. Anti-intellectualism, which Fox feeds on, has been normalized in America. You're so brainwashed you aren't even aware.

sounds just like an anti-lds comment to me, with the brainwashed statement.

liberals always say they see the light,  but really  what light do you see?  this country is going downhill faster than a car thats brakes have gone out.  Obama says he can fix things, but he needs 4 more years,   but he promised he would fix everything in 4.  liberals want to fix the country by spending more money on all of us citizens (including illegals) with money we dont have (i do like the liberal ideas of providing things, it’s just not possible since we don’t have the money)     i’m not intellectual,  really?  i watch enough politics what is going on,(and not just from conservative news, i do watch the other channels)  but because you don’t agree with me i’m not intellectual.

let Obama win the election. see what will happen in the next four years    then when you complain, you can’t say i didnt warn you

Fox News's ratings have risen while CNN's have dropped because there are more stupid, hateful people in this country (the kind who tend to believe everything that Fox News tells them, no matter how bigoted or nonsensical it is) than there are kind, loving people. That's all there is to it. It has nothing to do with whether or not Fox is a better source of news than CNN is.

but see,   you have a hatred at fox news,   honestly i don’t think it is as bad as many of my friends have made them out to be,  but because they are against gay marriage   they spread hate,  because they don’t like obama, they are racist.   most of the time they share their opinion,  and sure, some of the anchors are far right, so thier ideas are crazy, but i haven’t heard anything that i think is super crazy.      I dont think they make up fake news about Obama,  and if it turns out Obama was never a muslim, then i can at least watch that now and know its false, but i have never heard them report that on the show,   some of the commentators say it but not the main anchors

How did the hipster burn his tongue?

He drank his coffee before it was cool

if this is true, i need to really stop doing it

if this is true, i need to really stop doing it

When did MSNBC report that thing about Joseph Smith? And can you prove that that was an outright lie, rather than them just getting their facts incorrect? Even if that was a lie, though, that doesn't change the fact that Fox News lies a hell of a lot more than MSNBC does. So why do you seem to think it's perfectly okay for Fox to lie all the time, but not okay at all for MSNBC to lie once (if they did mean to lie, that is)?

this is the reporting from MSNBC. It is known that this reporter is anti-mormon.  Also, from this clip, it shows that they say that Obama is starting a new religion,  that is taken way more literal than it should have been for this reporter to talk about.   I know fox news can be crazy at times,  i’m just saying  that everyone thinks liberal media is innocent of things     the final point i ask is why has fox news stayed the most watched news channel, and CNN’s ratings drop  ?    (personally i like CNN, that’s usually what i have watched in the past)

Fox News has been proven to outright lie, as they have done about the whole "Obama is a Muslim" thing and the "gay marriage is bad for society" thing. You cannot say the same thing about CNN or MSNBC. So how is it wrong for people to discredit Fox News and be angry with them for outright lying?

really?   MSNBC reported that mormons were founded in 1830 when Joseph Smith had sex with a maid.  Totally FALSE. they make up news too, but you don’t hear about it like you here about what fox news does.   Typical Liberal answer

thegayrepublican:

This is very true. I don’t really understand why Obama won’t share anything with anyone. The dems want the Republicans to release their tax returns, and every damn thing else.
